Mary J Blige ft. Beyonce – Love a Woman

The full version of the most talked about Mary J Blige track in recent memory hit the Internets yesterday. Love A Woman was originally recorded by Beyoncé, who decided she didn’t want it (for good reason) so she tossed it to Mary. It’s off her My Life II…The Journey Continues (Act I), which hits stores on November 21st.
“Love A Woman” is more disappointing drivel from an artist whose lengthy career is pretty much over. Even Beyonce couldn’t save this gloomy track. While the lyrics imploring men to love their women are meaningful, the track doesn’t quite hit the mark. Mary will always be considered a R&B legend, and she will remain in demand on the nightclub circuit, if that’s any consolation.

Celebs Out & About: Lindsay Lohan, Mary J Blige
As some of you may know, troubled actress Lindsay Lohan was just sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating the terms of her probation. The ‘Mean Girls’ star has until Nov. 9 to turn herself in. But due to extreme overcrowding conditions at the county jail, LiLo will likely serve only 7-10 days behind bars. Judge Stephanie Sautner revoked Lohan’s probation on October 19, and sentenced her today after Lohan was kicked out of the Downtown Woman’s center for repeatedly failing to appear for her community service. We have lost count just how many times Lindsay has been sent to jail for violating her probation over the past two years. Apparently, this is an amusing game to her.

Mary J Blige – “Why” (radio rip) and “Mr. Wrong”

R&B Diva Mary J Blige continues her trend of throwing music into the wind and hoping something sticks. We love Mary but she hasn’t put out a resonating album since What’s The 411 (1992) and My Life (1994).
Since her early, crack-fueled glory days Mary’s music has been mostly hit and miss. It’s clear that she’s one artist who requires a lot of drama in her life to influence her music. Things must really be going well for her at home.
Mary’s latest efforts, “Why” (radio rip) and “Mr. Wrong” also miss the mark completely. Both tracks are off her new album My Life II: The Journey Continues.
“Why” features Rick Ross and “Mr. Wrong”, an updated version of Billy Paul’s 1972 hit “Me and Mrs. Jones”, features rap aficionado Drake. I mean, how can you go wrong with Drake on your track?

Celebs Out & About: Mary J Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Lala Vazquez, Michelle Rodriguez
All those stories you heard about R&B singer divorcing her hubby Kendu Isaacs were just that — stories. Don’t believe everything you read on the blogs. The happy couple attended a special concert honoring Mary J Blige and the FFAWN (Foundation For the Advancement of Women Now) scholarship fund at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC last night.
Media personality Lala Vazquez-Anthony attended the Foundation For the Advancement of Women Now (“FFAWN”) and Elle Magazine 2nd Annual Mary J. Blige Honors Concert to benefit FFAWN’s Scholarship Fund, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC last night.
Also attending the special event were singers Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, Corrine BaileyRae, Jill Scott, actresses Kerry Washington, Ellen Pomeo, and her husband Chris Ivey; actress Evan Rachel Wood (not pictured) and more.
Love comes in all shapes and sizes: Lesbian actress Michelle Rodriguez flagged a cab with her unidentified lover in downtown NYC today. Her girlfriend has never been fat, but she’s looking extra crackish in these pictures. I guess the toothpick look is in these days. Lindsay Lohan’s ex, Samantha Ronson, isn’t much bigger than this chick.

Don’t you wish your grandmother looked this hawt?
Okay, Mary J Blige is not exactly a grandmother, but at age 40 she’s getting there. The music legend performed live at the Raggamuffin Music Festival at Parramatta Park in Sydney, Australia over the weekend.
Ciara and Keri Hilson can only hope to possess the kind of energy and gifted presence that Miss Mary brings to the stage every night!
