Sneak Peek: Mob Wives, Episode 2: Hell On Heels
VH1′s reality series ‘Mob Wives‘ was scandalous enough to rank #2 in the cable TV ratings for New Year’s day behind only E! TV’s ‘Kim & Kourtney Take NY‘. The Staten Island based Mob Wives features feisty, heavily botoxed and cosmetically enhanced women with ties to notorious mob figures (real mob figures, not the imitation ones that rappers pretend to be).
If you thought urban reality series such as ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ and ‘Basketball Wives‘ were bad, wait until you see the preview of next week’s Mob Wives. There is a sustained and brutal fight between Karen Gravano and Drita D’Avanzo that clocks in at over 4 minutes of hair-pulling and butt kicking. I still don’t know what the fight was about.
Drita says, “You know what happens when you come to my house? You get hit with a wrench across your f*cking throat. So you’re welcome.”
In Case You Missed It: Love & Hip Hop, Ep 6
On Monday night, VH1 aired the much-anticipated “fight” between newcomer Erica Mena and Juelz Santana’s bustdown, Kimbella Vanderhee. As with Kimbella, Erica was introduced to the cast by Jim Jones’ manager, Yandy Smith, aka Don King. It is no coincidence that both women immediately began snatching wigs within 5 minutes of meeting each other.
By now we are all familiar with how these “reality” shows work. Each show has totally scripted “fight” scenes that usually commences when one cast member tosses water on the other one.
But according to Erica, her fight scene may not have been totally scripted. In fact, Erica claims that she was caught completely by surprise, and she thinks she was set up by VH1.
Celeb Style: Khloe Kardashian in Burberry Prorsum and Hermès
Kim Kardashian’s sister Khloe Kardashian-Odom was spotted having a wild hair day in Dallas while apartment shopping for her and her husband Lamar Odom. The Odoms are looking for a luxury condo in the $8000-$12000 a month range in the same building where Deieon Sanders owns a bachelor pad. Khloe appears to be wearing her sister Kim’s Burberry Prorsum Aviator Shearling Boots, which retail for $1,395 (see pic of Kim wearing the same boots below). The boots are from the Fall/Winter 2010 collection and feature a cracked leather upper accented with gold buckles and lined with authentic lamb shearling on a 5 inch heel.
Teen Hurt During Brawl at Nail Salon Inside Walmart
A brawl inside a Snellville Walmart sent a teenager to the emergency room with facial lacerations and fractured teeth — and it was all captured on video.
The trouble started when a woman walked into the Regal Nail Salon inside Walmart and became irate at the prices. She spent the next half hour cursing at the staff and customers. The fight started when the woman’s daughters exchanged words with the child of another customer.
“And from there, it was off the chain,” a witness told Channel 2 Action News. “Bowls were flying, glass was flying, hair was flying, braids was flying, weaves was flying, everything was flying.”
A flying porcelain bowl struck 17-year-old Ashley Corbett who was waiting to get her nails done.
“As I headed toward her, all I could see was just blood,” Corbett’s mother, Gail Dudley, told Channel 2. “She opened her mouth and her teeth were shattered.”
Witnesses say the woman who threw the bowl fled the salon. Police are searching for the woman.

Rob Kardashian is very confident
Ladies, don’t you wish you had a sensitive man who was as in touch with his feminine side as Rob Kardashian?
In a recent interview, Rob, who gets his nails manicured at the same shop as his famous sister, Kim, said he has to lose weight to appear on “Dancing With The Stars” nightly. There aren’t many men who worry about their weight gain — or their nails.
“Ok, I’m insecure with my weight and I say I have man-boobs jokingly, but it’s true,” said Kardashian.
Some people may say he lacks confidence in himself. But we say it takes extreme confidence for a man to openly acknowledge his weight issues.
“With all these dancers who are in great shape, it’s just hard to be around and kind of put yourself out there like that, I’m all about living a healthy lifestyle, and I’m completely comfortable with how much I weigh and what I look like. But I just want to be healthy internally and I feel that will make a difference with a lot of things in my life. So, you have more confidence you can look people in the eyes, feel better, just little things.”
What a great attitude and outlook on life he has! We just wish Rob’s sister, Kim K, had his confidence.
Tracee Ellis’s Hair: She wasn’t born with good hair, she works for it
Diana Ross’s middle daughter, Tracee Ellis Ross, 38, covers the October 10th issue of JET magazine.
Having made her mark on the hit show “Girlfriends” Tracee Ellis Ross is making her television comeback. Her new show, “Reed Between The Lines,” which premieres October 11 on BET, features Ross as a happily married therapist and mother of three. The new gig is just one of the many exciting changes happen in Ross’ life. JET has all the details on her workout regime, her rumored beau (Def Jam’s Bu Thiam), and her famous hair. “You gotta respect the curls … I work for them,” says Ross.
Her banging body might become a new obsession for her many admirers, but for now, when you type her name into Google, the top search is for “Tracee Ellis Ross hair.” “I have so much hair it’s extraordinary,” she says, admitting no one is more obsessed than she is. “You could take half the hair on my head and cover another person’s head.” She grew out her relaxer in high school and has tested so many styles, serums and conditioners that she might put out a book and a line of hair products one day. Not a fan of bone straight hair— “I’m Diana Ross’ child… big hair is what I come from”— she has learned one important lesson in natural hair manage ment: “You gotta respect the curls,” she says. “I work for them. I can’t tell them what to do.”

Actress LisaRaye was spotted chatting on her cell phone while shopping in Beverly Hills yesterday. While well meaning people all over the country wore their ‘I Am Troy Davis’ anti-death penalty t-shirts, LisaRaye wore a jersey tee with the words ‘IM LOVE’ on it. How appropriate.
