Tyrese ft. Tyga and R.Kelly – I Gotta Chick
Yesterday, R&B crooner Tyrese released his new music video for his track titled “I Gotta Chick” featuring rapper Tyga and troubled singer R.Kelly.
Speaking of troubled, it’s obvious from reading Tyrese’s tweets that he has emotional problems and issues with women. We don’t follow Tyrese on Twitter.com because insecure men with feminine characteristics are a complete turn off.
But while perusing blogland the other day, we couldn’t help but notice this post on Rhymeswithsnitch:
Last night Tyrese tweeted a link to the making of his new video ‘I Gotta Chick’ and was shocked when his predominately Black female Twitter followers began to complain that there were no Black females in the video….
In other words, Tyrese is saying that out of all the women who auditioned, the LSLH women were the best choice for his video. Sounds like he knew in advance what he was looking for.

Wow, he was being sued and going through a very messy and public divorce. I think there were reports of him being abusive and he blamed that on being on the show. SMH. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. How sad.
The song is all right and I could careless if he had a dark skin or light skin girl in his videos.
If there were all dark skin women in the videos then everyone would be complaining about why aren’t there any light skin women in the video. Whatever.

I love me some Tyrese. Lord knows I do. I was his biggest fan…until I started following him on Twitter. I’m confused…how you “got a chick” but got a bunch of pale face minions running around half naked in the video? I’m more disappointed the video is so much like what his Twitter-preaching is against.
I can’t see why we would be complaining that he doesn’t have any representation of any Black women gyrating in his video in scantily-clad lingerie….
I just can’t. Let a rapper say: “I don’t want any more blatantly African-American woman in my vids basically naked making her azz clap! I’d rather have these white and Asian hoes do it!”
I just cannot tell you that I would be offended or feel in the LEAST bit slighted. We need some self-esteem as a culture. Get slighted because a white person less qualified than you got picked for a VP position as your company…not because you got skipped over to degrade yourself for a few bucks in some “entertainer’s” low-budget video.

I think Russell was just socially awkward. IMO she married him only for what she thought he had. The only person I feel sad for is a daughter who now doesn’t have a father. Suicide is a selfish act to me.

You know what now that I think about it, he does act like an abuser….Two of my friends like to get their asses beat and their boyfriends act just the way he acted on the show…all weird and possessive…they dont really talk too much and when you ask them a question its usually one or two word answers….and they cant STAND their friends….

When girls are cast for the video, certain “types” of girls are requested, then they send out those girls that met those specifics. I betcha he requested a certain type female. What the problem is is that he didn’t request darker skin (he knows what time it is)- he would have to be very specific and he wasn’t which is his right, just proves that he has no love for giving back to the community that raised him.

I got one better for the both of ya. I’m a dude that can’t stand to hear compliments. Decided to lose weight and get in shape…yes it makes you look “better”. I’ve had to endure some facial expressions and comments that totally changed my perception on how the male admiration of women should be expressed. Good ol Atlanta – where failure to ignore dudes trying to pick you up nets you a hate crime or a gaped azz hole. I want neither of the two.
I used to be a gat damn woman ooooh shat your azz is fine as hell type of ignant. Getting older is a great thing…you can see where you started fvcking up and picking up steam. Just stop it…don’t keep going…shiat.
The enjoyment in these times…eyes. Not their beauty so to speak…but the character that they display. Fine without character ain’t shat. Takes time to see it…fvckin makes everything cloudy. Self gratification and adult entertainment helps maintain clarity (kinda joking). Make it a date if you really wanna get frisky. You might be surprised…wait at least 30 days before asking and pay attention to the eyes.

What’s funny to me about all this is a month or two ago Tyrese released a book that all sisters were fighting to buy a copy… and then he diss y’all like this. To me, he showed his ass… and if I was a black women he would NEVER see a red cent of mine again.
It disturbs me that beautiful black women are uncomfortable when some says they are beautiful..the sun is shining on you my sistas…Bask in it!
For those who just don’t get why some women would be offended, here’s why. Noting that this is indeed women degrading themselves for a few bucks, but look at the big picture. Tyrese, and undoubtedly the other black men who picked out these women are saying this is there taste, and not acknowledging the beauty in the darker toned black women. To say that these were the best to have shown up in ATLANTA is ludacriss. You know some dark skin beautiful, well-bodied, nicely coifed, pretty faced showed up to audition, and no doubt, they were passed over for their lighter skinned sisters. This happens all the time, and as loud as some black men can, they are saying DARK SKINNED BLACK WOMEN AREN’T BEAUTIFUL.
But there is a quick fix for this ladies, and i guarantee it will work. DO NOT SUPPORT BLACK ACTORS, ATHLESES, AND ENTERTAINERS, WHO DO THIS! DO NOT SWOON OVER THEM, DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR CD’S, DO NOT BUY THEIR TICKETS, DO NOT PATRONIZE THEM! I guarantee there are black women out here, dark skinned, supporting this ignorance, by still being a fan. It’s really simple, and it’s the strongest message you can send, hit them in their pocket where it really hurts.
