Rapper Ludacris, his manager slash homeboy Chaka Zulu and NFL star Terrell Owens (wearing hat) held a hoodrat/groupie bikini dance contest on South beach at the fabled Fountainebleu hotel yesterday. The guys are in town to attend Superbowl 44.

when i originally saw the photos, i was like “ugh way to demean black women and make us look like sexual objects” but all races do this. the difference is that black people are a minority and want to present a certain side to others- we are stereotyped so much that when we see a black person who embodies those stereotypes, we cringe. that’s why black women react to these types of photos in the way that they do-we aren’t thinking about what white women do- we watch what our women do b/c we know that society will look at them and say they represent what most black women are like.

I know you were addressing your statement to msdanielle, but we must stop this, “We are black people so we have to be held to a higher standard,” b.s. I don’t cringe when black people do negative things because I have no control over someone else’s actions. I know there are so many more positive things we do. Since we are a minority, we have to be on our best behavior because we are worried about what others think of us? We fight outward and inward because WE hold ourselves up to a high standard. I don’t give a rat’s azz what others think of me because they are going to think it regardless (white supremacy), so if they are ignorant enough to put all black women in this category, so be it.
